Caddy big block guys. UPDATE PICS

ck5 post this is the post were i talked about it, my dropped pitman arm was gonna hit my tierod when the truck flexed so i wanted to run a straight pitman arm notching the frame to clear it was the only way i could come up w/

Did you ever get that trans mounted up?

i got it & the doubler mounted. i will post some pics if u like. i used 2 stock crossmembers & stock replacement poly mounts. the rear one that the doubler mounts 2 i left stock the frt one i modified for the frt d-shaft to clear it & made some 1" spacers to go between the 203 adapter & the poly mounts. i never relized it but the "feet" on the 203 adapter are shorter than the ones on the doubler adapter.

the biggest pain was the headers. the pass side hung down so low the d-shaft would smack it when it came up. i took the header & cut the tubes off & shortened them. the collecter is higher than the bottom of the frame rail now. i believe i can sqeeze my exhaust between the frame & the doubler on that side now.

i used bbc headers w/ a set of caddy header flanges

What oil pan did you use? in that pic. Mine will clear the the crossmember but im afraid of the axel coming up and hitting the pan.

Heres a pic of how i will do mine:
