Can these claims be true

a friend of mine got 15 in his burb 4.10s with 35s and a 4" lift. This was taken over several tanks using a gps to calculate miles he drove reasonable but had headers a nice exhaust and an after market ignition and electric fans. So take it for whats it worth 15 is definatley on the high side but its possible

I got an '89 with the EXACT same setup. Everything stock as yours. 4.10s, but I got a 6" lift, engine has 160,000 and it runs strong mind you, but I'm lucky if I break 10mpg.

ok so a little bummed the other burb sold which maybe all for the better. I think it will be better to keep what I have.

I mean I purchased it from the original owner to the point that he started to well up when I drove away in the truck he raised his family in over the past 20 yrs. He loved the truck but decided to upgrade it.

So I figure I should keep it and invest a little into it. So guys/gals where do I start? probably better for another thread....

I'd start by making a list of all the things you want to do to the truck, then organize that list to do things in some form of an order, then start saving your pennies!
