CB output to stereo speakers?

Does such a product exist? I would like to have something that will let me output the CB to the stereo speakers, ideally cutting off the stereo input when CB input comes in. Currently we are using handheld FRS radios and my loud stereo drowns it out. Sure, I could run without the stereo but what is the fun in that? :D

I have seen some homebrew solutions like this:

And some indication that motorcycle headsets use something like this.

Kind of like some high end head units had mute for when your phone rang ?

I haven't really seen anything about that , but if there is a headphone jack , or a speaker output on the radio , you have a source point for the audio .

I don't know if it would help you, but Dad and I got some little auxiliary speakers from RadioShack. They plug into the back of the CB. I put the little speaking on the top of the console pointing straight up and it has made a huge difference in hearing stuff. I don't have a stereo, but it helps driving down the interstate at 70mph, no doors, loud tires, and loud exhaust.

Yes, it sucks having to turn the stereo down every time you want to use the CB.

Look hard, GM made them: radio and CB integrated.

Not going to get a cool head unit, but it works well. :)

I'm not sure but as long as we're on this topic whenever I press the talk button or someone is talking to me it over-rides my stereo and plays through the speakers... I'm not really sure why but it does... I think its somehow picking it up through the antenna in the windshield and playing it through the head unit...
