Sites lookin real good Jeff! Very well laid out and easy to navigate. The 50 is looking like itll be a fun project.
thanx... man that 50 is going to be a great little ride when I get it done. I've pretty much got everything down far enough that I'm in the $$$ spending stages. I've got a few more things to remove on the frame, and some more disassembly in the cab.
first thing I have to do is to put the new fire walls & flooring in. (that means a new mig welder & lots of playing /forums/images/icons/cool.gif) LOL
......Dude..... you look funny with that head piece and red dots on your face !!! LoL
man, everyone here has a K5, so it's nothing special,LOL Show me the 50!!!!!
/forums/images/icons/cool.gif Nice site and 3 nice rigs
LOL - hey I like the 50 too! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif it has been a pretty fun project so far, but I expect it to get much more difficult fairly quickly. (and expensive too... /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif)
No the hard part is over, it's getting the old froozen, rusted, molded stuff off and out of it, everything now is gonna be new . nice and easy,LOL
(rolls eyes..we can pretend,/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Thats as far as I got the the 1937 Ford sedan I had, tore it all apart and there it sat. Frame was rusted through and it needed a whole floor. Which back then I had no idea how or where to begin,LOL Now I would just start cutting and welding/forums/images/icons/cool.gif
I just can't leave anything alone, I have to change it some how, like the camaro side markets in the front valance, or the vette tail lights, plus I want camaro or olds aurora headlights in it, ...
I even put camaroside markers in the Willy's grill,LOL and I want 67 to 72 taillights in it too to keep it chevy
yea well let me tell ya a lot of this is going to be completely new ground for me from here on out. hey, ya never learn what you can do without taking the plung though right? (I'm good at taking the plung... LOL /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif)
I think I took the plung when I looked at the rust in the floor of the Willy's and rolled the torch over and started cutting,LOL Well no turning back now,LOL
And my 40 coupe I have is sitting on a 73 truck frame and is channeled over it 4" so I know what it is to jump in on things.
you should put some pic's up... man I'd love to see some of that stuff!!!/forums/images/icons/cool.gif
The 40 is camera shy,LOL I don't have many pics of it.
It got pushed to the back burner so I can do the Willy's.

heres a shot from Oct of 99, I will be moving it soon to make room for the 29 sedan to be pulled in so I will try to grab some new pics of it,LOL
get some pic's of the front susp from the front; I'm curious how you handled a couple things...
how many stinkin projects do you have? maybe I'll have to take a few of those off your hands sometime... /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
The front is a 77 Camaro clip with disc brakes/forums/images/icons/cool.gif it is grafted onto the 73 truck frame. I have a pic of me boxing in the frame, I'll try to find it.
1940 coupe..with a sedan for parts
1955 Willy..building it and keeping it
1979 Jimmy..clean up and sell
my brothers 50 truck is back here and my dads 29 sedan is do to be started.
in the pic you can see my brothers 81 blazer and the 77 blazer behind the fence,LOL

These work for ya?
so - what is your 40???
1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Business Coupe.
man I love the grills on those - I hope your going to spend the $$$ to get a good chrome job on it from some place like Mexico or Canada that still uses the good chrome (stupid EPA)
It's gonna be plain steel for a long time, I don't have 4 big ones to throw down on a grill.
thats a bummer - I want to do a 4 door sedan about that generation - 37-40, and I think the grills chromed good look real sweet.
