Chevysmithz71 Later Thread:Trip pics

Well, After wheeling with Avery for the summer and his tbi not missing a beat from 9,000ft to the beach I yanked my edelbrock efi out.
Called AFI and told them what I had and new exactly what I needed. All wired, just waiting on some tube clamps coming during the week to finish things and fire it up. Thanks to Avery, the electrical guru, for the help.

Well I noticed a few dents right were my springs had been hitting the frame. So, I decided to move the front spring hangers forward and up to make it right.
Also, have you guys with long front shackles gotten the rub on your frame where mine seems to be chewing away at it? Whats the fix?

Ended up moving the springs 1inch forward and up 1inch to keep it same height. We'll see if it helps to not hit my frame anymore. The hanger gussets are a little different but I always catch myself using them as steps. So, that's with the odd gusset and bead grips across the top.

Just an update to the K5. I ended up cutting the perches off and rotating the pinion up to help with driveshaft angle. Next, I went to springless xover arms from fourwheelsupply to match my keyed knuckles.

Got any more pics of the rear axle truss and traction bar?

On the truss, is it welded on the inside and outside where it touches the tube or just the outsides? I'm waiting on the kind to come in for mine but based on the measurements I think I'll only have enough room to wed it on the outside.
