chopp and bobb burb??

thanks for all the replies, another thing i was thinking about was putting a pickup back end and weld it up to the back behind the second set of seats with a sliding window, so it would have a lil bed.

anyways specs are 89 gmc, 454 tbi, 1967 closed chamber 427 corvette heads, mild comp cam, edelbrock intake, thorley headers, flows, th400/np208, dana60/14 bolt, 4.56 gears, detroits front and rear, high steer. It goes good but the engine doesnt run up to its full potential i dont believe. desktop dyno says 350 hp and 520 ft lbs of tq. been playin with the idea of switching to a truck avenger....duno tho

heres some more pics :D

this is the best picture of when i first got the burb. It was a family vehicle that has gone to florida and to key west, at least 15 times when we were kids. The only bad part is everytime i come back from 4 wheeling my dad shakes his head cuz he remembers when it was STOCK and he gets upset lol o well. hes still got his 67 gmc from when he was 16

If you are going to wheel it ! bob the ass end off because you will hang it up on something . Everyone is gonna have their way of doing the chop and bob . I didn't want to bob it and still use the factory tail light cause I knew I would just smash them up when wheeling in the rocks . I would have left the back all open but seeing how I live in the PNW and it rains alot I thought it best to weld it all in and have a small fixed window . I do have a 2003 ford truck rear tinted window with the power sliding middle window . I'm going to redo the back metal area so I can install the Ford rear slider . I still need to make a different spare tire mount for my 42" tsl and build my small roof rack . I used 1x1 box steel to build the frame between the rear seats and the bed and covered it with sheet metal .

who painted the camo on this truck, its sweet. where is the pattern from, i've gotta paint one of my trucks with that pattern. sorry for the hijack.

heres a pic of my other friends s dime which was recently rolled. We flipped it back over , put in a quart, high lift jacked the winshield frame, smashed out the front shield, and wheeled it the rest of the day.

Another thing with these burbs is they have massive body flex and all full 6+ point inside really help's with the body flex . When my burb is maxed out on a big rock I cannot open my door :haha: and I have a 4 point cage inside .

I did the paint and pattern . It's all free hand and about 25+ cans of krylon camo color paints . I just bought the green , brown and light brown camo colors and used ultra flat black ( cheaper ) . I did the wheels to match . When I was in the army ( 63w heavy mechanic ) I would also do the touch up paint on the big rigs and I always thought the patterns stood out to much . If you parked my rig in the middle of the wood's you might not see it but if you parked a military rig in the wood's you would see it because of the big bold patterns . I'm gonna paint my toyota 4x4 the same way . Yeh it's redneck but that's how I roll :wink1: .
