What do you all do for christmas dinner? my dads a butcher so we do a big ole prime rib every year.
baked corned ham, collard greens, sweet potato pies, mac and cheese for the small kids, chicken salad, chicken pastry, corn, potato salad, and the list goes on and on......... we're having about 15 - 18 people to feed.
Well, grandma used to make turkey supper, but now she's gotten to the point age wise she can't do that anymore, so she's now settled on getting the turkey from Ingles and warming it in the oven.
Wow Jonathan I'm coming to your house for christmas!!!!! that sounds so amazing.
We always have turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, pees, carrots, corn, and some other stuff.
Pizza, Cigarettes, Coke Zero
Ham, mashed taters, corn, rolls... nothing fancy.
what? no beer? jeeze, what kind of family do you have?
I'm doing a honey glazed ham, sweet potatos, and a green been casarole with rubarb pie for desert.
Usually ham or turkey.
Ham, green pasta with shrimp, mashed tatos, asparagus, string beans, et.
cup o noodle and a ham sammich.

ITS TOFURKEY for us vegans!!!
Yum. Ill be inviting you all over for next day leftovers!!!
Don't know what the wife has planned, but I'm lookin forward to Jack Daniels and chili cheese Fritos.
We have to split between my parents & my wifes, and alternate Christmases & Christmas Eve's. Usually the in-laws make a ham and my folks make a turkey.
Merry Christmas everyone!
hmmmm honey glazed ham sounds goodd
Hey Cam, my sis-in-law is a vegetarian. She said the Tofurkey they made at Thanksgiving was pretty nasty, just to try and save your taste buds. Unless of course you have had it before. Could have just been the brand they bought.
Lots of prime rib and Jenn made a couple of desserts and prolly green been caserole and mashed taters and brown bread and mac and cheese and heck I don't know what else.
Not as many as was around for Thanksgiving so not to awful many people. Always plenty of food though.
I'm stealing the left over prime rib this year though.
yep... some of the stuff out there is pretty nasty... but there are some brands that are excellent... with tofurkey its all how you prepare it... it can certainly get rubbery if its not done right.... normally we make our own from tofu... but the wife was teaching so i went and bought the real deal... comes with everything mash potatoes, vegan gravy, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce etc.. all organic... Ive had it a couple of times... not bad....
Some of the vegan prepared foods arent any better than junk food when they are overprocessed and use unatural ingredients (like Loma Linda tastes like dog food stuff worse than meat probably)...
I wish all of you a very nice time with your loved ones.... and for those of you that are alone... be good to yourself....
oh yea... and love animals dont eat them
My Christmas present was a donation to BEST FRIENDS.... my wife gave it to me... yes I would have preferred Craftsman,,, but the wife lasts forever...so I gotta like what she does for me....
Having Beaufort stew (potatoes, smoked sausage, corn on the cob, and shrimp all boiled to delectable goodness with old bay seasoning) along with some grilled duck breast wrapped in bacon .
