Chrome alloy D44 shafts

THEN, YOU GET TO REBUILD THE 60... [$$$]
*or, find one of those "perfect condition" D60's.... But, I've yet to see one.

The answer truly is: "bigger tires? Then, more $$$."

and it wil be worth it. I want to find a deal on a 60 so I can slowly rebuild it myself while extra money comes in :waytogo:.

I have a chrome moly long side, u joint, and outer. So my question is where i can buy just the HD short side, u joint, and outer. I would never spend 500$ on shafts before a 60. For where my 44 is now i think id be happy to just replace the short with a chrome moly inner. Outer and u joint.......

Buying d60 would cost a lot at this point
-Dana60
-4.88
-lock-right
-plus full rebuild hubs ext......id buy a k30 and sell the blazer before i dump 2k in it

The only aftermarket shaft I will ever run again in a dana 44 is an RCV. Plain and simple, you break it they replace it no questions asked lifetime warranty.

Ah well that answers my question perfectly! I agree you should wait on the 60 then. :) I was also surprised how hard it was to find seperate parts when I quick tried to google it...

May the force be with you!

I dont know what i made confusing in my OP glad someone finnally understands what i was asking instead of jumping on the d60 wagon......i dont have money for that ticket yet. I bought the 44 built for cheap so throwing on shaft in it is tottally worth it to me

When I was looking Randy's seemed to have the best prices. Ringpinion.com . I heard Yukon was the best strongest out of the chromoly shafts people were using. I'd like yo see a side by side comparo on those and us axle and a couple others out there to see what they would really take to kill them.

My $650 Dana 60 under the Suburban looked like it spent ten years under water. I pulled the hubs, cleaned the bearing, repacked the outer bearings and squirted some grease into the inner bearings. New loaded calipers were $40 something a piece. I also put in a new diff gasket and bolted on a new steering stabilizer. Along with the cost of the gear lube, I didn't have that much into it.
