So the big question. Do you have chrome "anything" in your engine compartment. A touch of bling is nice, but do you keep it cleaned? I have some valve covers(aluminum) and it sure is hard to polish them up.

They are kinda dirty right now.

the only chrome things i put under the hood are when I need something and run to autozone and all they have is chrome. case in point, my fuel filter on my 355.

Edelbrock air filter cover. I usually clean it whenever my K&N needs serviced /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

air filter cover is chrome, the valve covers on my DD are yellow with red bolts and the project blazer's are orange with blue bolts. It pretty interesting to see how much powder coated or painted valve covers do for an engine bay.

Thanks. Dont want it to rust so same day as mud hits it (next day at the longest) I clean it off for a couple hours.

yeah, same here. Mine got all kinds of spots on them that won't come off though. I used that mothers polish for aluminum....didn't do anything though.
