Whose idea was this? And why do I agree to go with my parents every single year?
you dont, you're a big boy now.
**** YOU MAN! **** YOU AND YOUR MOM TOO!
I'm quitting this site tomorrow...
I kid, I kid
ask the preist when you get there. i really would like to know myself.maybe so kids will be tired enough to not care what they get??
The Midnight Mass, held at the stroke of midnight as Christmas Eve ticks into Christmas Day, has its origins in the belief that Christ was born at exactly that hour.
THAT i know. i mean why they go at that time of night.
I'm glad someone, somewhere in the last 2000 years has found it important to determine what TIME Christ was born
a culture of overanalizing stuff.i saw something on the History channel saying Jesus was Marys husband???WHY can't things just be the way they are?"wait, theres some hiddin secret". ass holes.. i guess thats why i like dogs more than most people. no matter what the breed, no matter how domesticated they are. they all still act the same. real simple.
During my Catholic days that's what we did .
Believe it ir not ,later in life you will look back on going to midnight mass with family and miss it.Nothing beats family.I admit when i was younger i wondered the same thing also."Why do we have to go to midnight mass"?Now I look back on those times and am thankful that i went along and learned that Christmas isn't just about the material things. To me now it is about family.
They set it the to see who is serious. You go because it makes your mom happy.
It's the one Mass you can go to and its o.k. to fall asleep.
Please understand that the L-rd Jesus Christ knows the deepest intent of your heart. If you're going to please your parents and not Him, He knows. If you're going for Him and then to please your parents, He knows that too. If you're going to humble your heart before Him and our Father, full of thanksgiving and brokenness, then HE sees and knows that. If you're going just to go through the motions and really don't want to be there, HE knows that also. Which ever the case may be, His love for you is deeper than any ocean, farther than the eye can see. Higher than any heaven and warmer than any fire. This night represents how much G-d the Father longs for a relationship with YOU! He proved it, by sending His only son, Jesus, to pave the way for you!
Think about it.
Again, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
uh, Manny... it is ok to say God, Lord, and Jesus here in the lounge...
It's not that I am ashamed to say L-rd, G-d or Jesus. I'm not ashamed of my relationship with HIM at all! And if anyone is offended, too bad, too sad, they'll just have to get over it! I don't apologize for my faith. Rather, it is out of reverence. G-d's name is so Holy that it by the Jews of old, it is not fully spelled out. I just follow in reverence. It's a personal choice.
Separate names with a comma.
