So I will make this official because we have it planned out on our family calendar. We'll meet up at the Starbucks at Exit 234 off I70, I think it's called Dumont. We'll plan on heading out at 9AM.

    Red Elephant Hill: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=46

    Bill Moore Lake: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=12

    Mill Creek: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=105

I think we'll start up Red Elephant Hill (red track), then the Mill Creek loop (pinkish track), and finish with BML (blue track). The trailhead for REH is just up the frontage road from the Starbucks.

How do we get out? Sorry for the n00b question but looks like REH is only recommended to be traveled up, not down, because it is so narrow.

I did empire loop 9 years ago. The way we came out, a crew cab long bed would never get through. I had issues making the turns in the trees. Not sure which way though.

The Charles Wells book has Empire Loop included in the name for Red Elephant Hill. I wonder if that's what you came down. Like Justin mentioned, traildamage.com says not to run it downhill so we'll see how it goes. I tend to make turns much better going uphill rather than down.

9 years ago? That must have been one of your first Colorado trails?
    That's understandable. LOL!

Ok I will be bringing another person and rig with me if you don't care. A 4-runner on 33's locked, winched, new duratracs. I haven't seen the rig yet. Mainly built for overlanding, but he did Cruise Moab this year ran fins and top of the world, and did the FJ summit in Ouray. So we will see you all at the Starbucks at Dumont.

Yep, I'm gonna have to do the same for sure. I spend so much time outside of cell phone coverage that I miss a lot, especially in the sale threads :( lol

Looks like it would have been a pretty good trail for my first time out. Wish that I could have made it.
