Other things besides wheeling sucks.
Especially if they involve 4 letter words like "work".
I'm out...too busy getting everything ready for the move, plus I guess we already have plans that day with family in town for thanksgiving....looks like I won't be able to get a run in before moving. I guess I need to make BB a yearly thing so I can see you guys and wheel with ya again!
Just a reminder for Sunday. We meet at King Soopers in Ft Collins on N.College, 1842 N College Ave to be exact, at 8:30AM and then depart promptly at 9:10AM. We gather at the north end of the lot. There are cheap fuel stations nearby. CB channel 13.
They are only forecasting 1" of snow for that area. Sunday will be partly cloudy with a high around 51°F.
We decided to run the trail backwards for a change. What would normally be the back half of the trail has a few interesting spots you'd normally be driving down but going backwards we'll be climbing so they'll be a bit more fun. It does mean a little extra driving to loop around the bypass for Heart Attack Hill to then go up it and they back down the bypass again. Should be interesting none the less.
Also, I can bring my handheld walkies if anyone doesn't have a CB.
Dang I really want to get up there for this, but just can't pull it off. Will watch for the report.
I'm still planning on attending. I need to change the oil, "fix" my un-broken upper shackle bolt on the front passenger side, and see if I can find my handheld CB, I have two, but they are lost together...
As of today, we are still in.
Wish I could go!!
Because we are doing it backwards, will I still unload at the trail head?
You know that's a good question. I would think yes. There's some room but not a lot at the usual end point.
Can I drop at what would be the end?
I found my handheld CB's.
I'm just here for the verbal abuse
Enjoy guys, Hope it's a great run.
Made it home. 13 hours round trip to the minute. Had fun. Perfect weather. A little snow wheeling. Met some great people and came home with a cool vise.
I spit out my rear driveshaft 1 mile down the road from the trailhead. . . . .
