Huh? Are you answering Brandons question or my statement?

It's this little father son deal goin on with these two thinking their funny. :p:

Still waiting to hear from WV guy. The only reason I ask is that he may want to do a bit of tuning in Moab prior to hitting the trails if he is running a carb which I suspect he is with the 509.

That's alright we confuse a lot of people.

Brandon, I think I read somewhere that the gentleman from WV. would have to kill you if he told you whether or not his engine is fuel injected. :):)

Come on Son a little help here!

you guys been having fun with out me I see!!

yes a very modified 770 truck avenger sits atop this big block, and yes i will have jet kit in hand to lean it out a little, my research shows that the elevation is around 4000 to maybe 6000 feet, is this about accurate??

and thanks for the concern miniwally, I cant wait to hit the road

Plan to tune for in town. I don't have that elevation off hand but 4,000 to 5,000 should be good.

I was more wondering about running at extreme angles for you.

You have to watch it. These Colorado guys don't think we have steep climbs out here on the east coast. They think they are privileged or something:p: .

BTW Brandon, I here you have had some trouble with draining rain water off of EZ Up's. Story?

if you tune somewere between 4000 and 6000 you will be fine we are at 4600 in town. i tune my atv's for 6000 and they seem to run good at that.

I have no problems getting the water to drain off of the Ez up. I don't know what you are talking about. :doah:

question,,

If I have license and insurance on the K5 and I act like I have a little bit of sense will I be able to drive it in Moab?

You are taking a chance, but might get lucky with a warning. I know the police are a little more lenient during EJS, but you never know. I think there is a thread in here about it http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184419

Generally, most non street friendly rigs are trailered to the trail head. Problem with that is you usually have to drive your rig back to the trailer at the end of the trail. Most trails have accomodating parking for tow rigs and trailer, some don't.

My Heep is not street legal due to the width of the axles and tires sticking out with no fenders, I will probably drive from the city market to hells revenge and trailer to the other trails I plan on running.

City Market to Hells Revenge is just a short drive down main street then through a housing area and up the mountain a little. Your chances are pretty good for that trip :)

from what i have been reading I was thinking of trying to drive it to the close trails, and trailering to the ones farther from town, and I also understand that alot of the trails may end several miles from where they start. I guess I will just play it by ear and see whats going on after I get there. I just hope to be able to park my tow rig somewhere at the trailhead if I trailer it. 34 foot gooseneck.

I drive the buggy to and from trails during BB' I have not had any problems. I have plates etc. to display.

As long as you are smart and drive to and from the trail only things are a bit more relaxed during these smaller events than Easter.

At Easter I go out of my way to not drive the buggy.

Brandon is just hatin' on carburetors. :shame:

He has no trouble draining water off canopies, it's staying dry while doing it that's the problem. :haha:

Can I blame that on Jack?;)

That was a very rude awaking. I think that is what made it possible for me to play with the white gas later and not light on fire, Wet clothes are less likely to catch on fire:doah:
