Hey all. Im going to remove a Headlight wiring from a 89 sub tomorrow. Its still in the truck. Im putting it on my 84 Blazer that has a qaud light set up. Do I remove from the fuse block? Do I need to udo the fuse block. Sorry but I know nothing :D

Unbolt the underhood side of the fuse block and that contains two harnesses, one is the engine harness and the other should be the lighting harness. These harnesses will separate from each other.

I'm doing the same to an 89 burb. The fuse block had a bolt going through it, bolting the halves together...

nothing to it.;)

Ok cool. Hey scott got the bumper on with no problems. Looks good. Not used to the lower valance though, every time i went to go look underneath that was staring me in the face:haha:

You talking about the plastic trim that hangs below the bumper? If so you can remove it if you don't like it.

Here is the engine side of the fuse block showing the three sections and the bolt hole.

Complete headlight harness, plug is at the right.

Here you can see part of the complete bundle, and see how it separates.

Cool

The plastic air dam was missing on my donor. No biggey.

I salvaged the engine (tbi) harness for use later. I was gonna remove the clip today, but it's just too damn pretty out - I just be chilling with the missus!;)

bummer the plug I got is totally different. Also The 89 has 11 wires while my 84 only has 10? I guess I could push the pins out of the both plugs and splice them togethe but it gonna look pretty hokey

Of course none of the wires are the same color. Hmm maybe it will be easier just to go back to my 84 grill

I'm not familiar with the 84, how many headlights does it have? If it has four you could simply using the wiring connectors from the 89 and splice the 84 wiring into them. The only difference should be the size and shape of the plug and possibly wiring color as you've said.
