Crab walking K5... ideas?

I think the terms are relative to location...
If you live near the ocean, it's crab walking.
If you live in/around the desert, it's lizard lunging.
All other locations, dog tracking.


and 'Kingpin' was a great movie.

Around here, some folks call it "dog walking".

Crab actually comes from the Airlines. I knew it all to well working on B52's . It was used for crosswind landing. They could turn the landing gear on all 4 struts. It looked kind of cool seeing a big old buff landing like that.

to verify dog tracking, you have to measure the diagonals of the frame. there are 4 certain holes in the frame just for this measurement.

Yeah your right, I am remembering it from the air force days. Man that felt weird coming in for a landing sideways. Forgot all about that until you mentioned it. Ec121's in Iceland landing on the frozen deck was always a hoot!
