NOW ive been bent and cracked before, but have never had to deal with a loved one being that way...

I seek the wisdom of CK5...............

drill, weld? Just weld?? .....

I would drill the end of the crack, v-groove the crack and weld.
Personally, I would replace the frame due to it bring bent, but it is a lot of work. I'm still not done with mine.

frame machine to pull back in line .

then fish plate it bigger than bad area .

drill end hole to stop spread and weld .

-----------------

my buddy had one like this years ago same spot but both sides and 1/2 way down the side of the frame also . he found it when he was parting the old truck out from 0body rust . he said that's why my front end felt so spongy and all over the place on the road . :eek1:

Does it drive straight? If so like said, grind it and weld it and I would not worry about it.

problem with this is its a major week point now that's already bent and not able to resist the further bends it might have happen . that's why I say frame machine for few bucks and then plate it oversized to help .

most of these in this section are from heavy off road bouncing / air time .

I think this is why the military trucks got the 2 bolt in braces in this area . :dunno:
