I made a simpler version using a cheap boat winch. Also worked very well for single person removal and re-install with a full vert top.

I'll do another for the new place for my current half top...it's the only civilized way to do it IMO.

...but most of all I hate the S-10 door handles. If you're gonna spend some cash and don't like the stock door handles shave the F'in door and use solenoids.

It seems absurd to "upgrade" the trucks door handles with ones from a lighter duty model. They look too small for those doors. The devils in the details on those high dollar trucks. The downgraded upholstry on the doors lowers the interior asthetics IMHO as well.
