Lately my crate 350 in my k20 has been idling at around 1500rpms, loosing alot of power at full throttle and when I turn it off it deisels for about 10 seconds before it turns off. I thought it was the timing and adjusted it but it still is doing the same thing, so i guessing its the carburator. Does it need a rebuild or could it just be out of adjustment, any tips on adjusting it to run right? thanks

The high idle may well be causing the dieseling.

Yes, check for vacuum leaks; also check the idle adjustment ... maybe your fast idle is stuck?

ya you could have a vacuum leak somewhere under your carb. or your linkage may kinda hang up. retart your timin just a hair and see what happens. for now just shut it off in gear and it wont diesel.

as above; idle that thing down to about 600 in gear (auto) then see how it idles (smooth?) and it should stop when told to. Start there and post up with the results.
