Been there done that and won't do it again, the 1 ton ends will break or bend under hard wheeling, I tried them and bent one, broke the other, they are just to long and week for cross over steering.

Its about time someone started making a pitman arm for a 4WD box. Price is a bit steep but probubly worth it for the quality.

EDIT: Oh and I didn't see it on your website...got a link?

Would runnning rod ends/heims solve the DRE angle problem with a straight draglink? Can rod ends handle more angle than dre's?

You might get away with it with heims??, the angle would be to much for a TRE I would think. "Can rod ends handle more angle than dre's?" No, DRE's can handle more angle thats why you see Jeeps running them with straight drag links but they often fail in the strength dept as my picture points out.

pitman arm

Yeah, I agree, that's hi but there's a lot of time in them, cutting from a solid chunk of steel. They're not on my site, I haven't really advertised them.

On the tierod ends bending or breaking - I don't think I'll have that problem with hydro assist - the ram is doing most of the work.

Actually, I was talking about Drag Link Ends, and I bent and broke the ones shown with hydro assist. :D

Another thing about heims....they are only worth it if you are willing to keep them clean...if they aren't kept clean they will wear out much faster. Same concept with greaseable ujoints..if you dont grease them there pointless.
