Ok I got a cs144 and I want more power at idle cause of plowing. I have an 85 k-10. I went to put it on the other day. It was kinda big. I did had to weld a tab to the lower bracket and drill a hole in the tab where it mounts on the back of the alternator. Now I go to install it in the truck and umm no fit. The upper bracket needs some mods. I did not have time cause a snow storm was coming. So I had to put the smaller alternator back on. Good thing I had another lower bracket (the one that attaches to the pass side lower head accessory bolt hole). Hey 79Jimmy looks like you have done this before. Got any tips or pictures of you bracket mods. [email protected]
