Cummins Sub Build/updated 12-9

And yes, I believe those are stock height 52" springs. I believe I'm going to have to change the springs for the heavier weight, and to get a tad bit more clearance. I'm contacting national spring for that

Awesome! Nice Bronco, too(I love those early Bronco's.. still kicking myself for selling my nice uncut '67).

Hey guys,
Just an update. Yesterday was a pretty big day. I had a couple buddies stop by to help get the engine in the suburban. Not only did we get the engine in, but we also got the transmission in. Heres some pictures.
Heres my helpers vehicles. Josh drives the blue blazer on 42's and Ralph with the landcruiser

Great build, I like seeing solid Suburbans being built in my neck of the woods:D.

Looks great

How far did you move your axle forward from stock?

great build,

how are you going to run the exhaust with the passenger side axles?

Sorry for not posting in awhile...I wanted to wait until I got a significant amount of stuff done. But as for the exhaust, I'm thinking of running a short pipe right under the a/c box on the firewall and out the lower part of the pass. fender...kinda nascar style.

man that is what I did with my exhaust, but mine is just 6.2 w/ turbo, I cut and boxed the braces on the bottom of the floor and it comes out right in front of the rear passenger side tire...if it ever gets too hot i'm gonna wrap it with header wrap

I'm done with paramedic school, so now I get to play with the burb again...
I'm currently moving the front perches for the rear springs forward and installing the 64" rear springs. This will keep the wheel in the stock location so I can keep the 40 gal. fuel tank.
I also picked up a set of 17" hummer H2 wheels
And I'm fabbing up the trans crossmember. I just started this, and it needs alot of reenforcement. Currently I'm just using a 2wd crossmember flipped upside down. This is allowing me to keep everything; engine, trans, and t-case above the lower part of the frame. This will allow me to build a full belly pan and keeps the trans and t-case from contacting the rocks.
And I also collected the rest of my hydraulic clutch assembly. I needed the bracket and pedal from a 4wd truck; now I just need to adapt the pedal to work with the dodge hydraulic master cyl.

The other thing I did was to remove the rear internal oil seal from the nv5600 so the coupling from the 205 could slide all the way on.

hey one thing, theres supposed to be an internal snap ring in the middle of that spline adapter. so it holds it centered on both shafts/ and can't walk back and forth. yoll get something broken before long if that happens. you shouldn't have to touch the 5600 at all to get that 205 to bolt up.

How's the progress on this killer 'Burb, man?? Share the wealth!
