Truck has 6” pro comps in front and 4” shackle flip and HD shackles and zero rates on all corners. I have almost 2” lean to the drivers side. I redid rear suspension with greasable bushings, zero rates and added the longer HD 6” shackles and used another set of springs I had from another truck thinking the rears were bad. (Rear sagged when I bought it, drove me nuts).
So now it’s close to level, front sits about inch high, but the truck still leans to drivers side. So I’m thinking one of the front springs is worn out.
I understand that ORD is best and right now it’s just out of the budget. Spent a lot on house projects lately.
Has anyone successfully ran off the shelf springs for a Cummins swap? I have TC EZ rides on the blazer and have been happy with them last couple years. I was thinking TC HD springs as they would be half cost of ORD springs. May go 4” springs. I saw a post where a guy weighed a dressed 454 vs. Cummins and the scale showed 200lbs difference.

Nice!

I’ve had a lot of lifted rigs. They always lean to to the driver side. Dove me crazy too.

I know it’s common to lean that way as the fuel tank is on drivers side and over time will wear out the springs. But its almost 2” of a lean. It’s noticeable sitting in a parking lot.

I run cheap ass procomp 2.5 inch front springs with a 525 lb rate.
The difference is nearly negligible.

Yeah these are the pics I found on the Cummins swap page on FB. Had me thinking maybe I could save $500 and get some Tuff country HD 4” springs.
The guy I bought the truck from said these were pro comp 6”. It rides so nice now, much better than my 15 duramax I had. But the lean is too much. Lol.

Not sure how accurate this info is. But found this online. Maybe I would be better off buying another set of pro comps? Looks like the spring rate is over 100lbs difference. They may hold up better than the TCs.

If you like them now just get another set or match the spring rate. Procomp lists their rates while some manufacturer keep it hidden for some reason.
Procomp has a lifetime warranty called the procomp promise. A 4wp store might actually warranty them out.

What’s in the bed and tool box? Is everything biased to the left side?

Are the gas cans full? If so that’s 100 lbs without the carrier.

I also noticed there’s something in the roof rack only on the driver’s side. Are all the extra things you’ve packed mostly on the left side? Individually (and empty) it may not be much but if most of you stuff is on the driver’s side for convenience it could add up, when combined with the gas tank that could be a fair amount of weight.

One can has diesel in it.
Nothin in the bed or box. Just tow strap and socket set. Maybe couple beer cans….
On the roof PO had a solar panel installed up there. Even when fuel tank is almost empty still same lean. I’m gonna do a blazer tank soon also.

I'm running some old crappy 4" lift springs off an old parts truck on my k5 with a 12v in it. Truck sits a little lower in the front than the parts rig but haven't had issues with leaning left or right. I will say I want to change the springs in the future because they are pretty stiff though.

When I installed brand new ORD springs in the K5, it leaned to one side really bad, making me wonder if it was a manufacturing flaw. I discovered the problem was really the rear springs and when I fixed that, the truck sat level again. The old front lift kit springs were stiff enough to (mostly) mask the problem.

I replaced the rear springs first thinking that was the issue as I had to add zero rates anyway to push the axle back and level the truck.

Just an update.
I bought a new pro comp spring and replaced drivers side. Then I replaced the 1” zero rates with the 1/4” ones on both sides to drop front end down to level out with rear.
Still had 1 3/4” lean to drivers side.
So I took the new spring out,……swapped old springs side to side and put 1/4” zero rate on pass side and 1” zero rate on drivers side.
Now it’s about 1/2” difference. Lol. I can live with that. I don’t know what else it could be. The only thing I noticed was the pass side spring perch was about 1/4” higher on passenger side. Measuring from the axle tube to the bottom of the ubolt plate.
Is there anything else that can cause the truck to lean besides the springs? I have about 1/4 tank of diesel. Nothin in the bed. I’m measuring from top of tire to body line.
It looks much better now. That lean just bothered me so much. Lol.

Looks good!

Other than springs a bent frame or bad body mounts are about it.

The gm spring perch on the driver side can collapse sometimes and be replaced with ones that are too short?
