The cost for 99% of all fender badges we have cut is $15 for a pair. That is two pieces of steel. Shipping is on top of that. Flat rate medium box handles them nicely for $10.95.

Powder coat them, or spray them with a good clear

Yep, they could be made from aluminum. I don't think the stud mounting would work.
