D60 M.A.D. outer axle seals good?

Ask MuddinManny how his are.

Oh wait! You can't. He's no longer a member on this site! He's been banned! :haha:

Gotta buddy here local that has them & he only runs mud. He ordered tham about 2 months ago & they came in fairlly quick. I think he really likes them. His screenname on here is Mudstud.

I have heard some bad things about M.A.D. Hot first hand though. Heard thay are hard to get parts from at times. I think I read that on here somewhere.

Yea I have some installed. They do SEEM like they could/would drastically limit, or stop all together, the sludge and water from entering the axle tube but I haven't tore it apart yet to see how they've done. Will report when I do.

Some other company has had similiar style seals out for D30 front axles for years now and a couple of the Jeep guys in our club have them. Assuming these MAD seals work the same, then they really like them...of course the main reason they like them is because they have to pull the front shafts out all of the time because they broke them or the u-joint, and they don't have to worry about the tubes being full of mud and water.

No need for them in the rocks ;)

you wheel in a vacuum sealed atmosphere :eek1:

debris is everywhere. I plan on playing on the rocks most of the time, but would still like to exfoliate my Blazer's skins with a mud bath. I'm running these seals in my 60 & got them pretty quick. Good guys to deal with. They fit in there very SNUG so I can see how they keep crap out. Before installing them, my 60 was used in another "rock" rig, and when I pulled the axle to install them, the inner axle already had some rust on them.

I have them, but haven't installed them yet. Ordered them no more than a month ago and it only took a week to get them. I figure the next time I pull the axle shafts - like for a locker install - I'll install them.

My 60 came off a farm truck. When I pulled the shaft on one side there was bailing twine wrapped around the shaft buched up around the inner seal. :rotfl:

I've heard they work well but I have no experience with them.

Don't make me smack you! You already forget about the Carnage access road?
