what's the deal with D60 with no locking hubs?? would some just need to be put on??
What is it a fulltime axle? My D44's fulltime, has nice shiny chrome covers instead of hubs. It's my understanding that hubs will just bolt right on as long as you get the "outer" style. Be prepared though, D60 hubs are pretty expensive.
Those axles that have the full time hubs, which some are shiny and some are painted, are from the trucks that ran the 203 t-case.
These axles with the full time hubs are from years '77-'79.
Unless someone else swapped some onto an '80 or newer D60, the '77-'79 were the stock stuff.
Does anybody carry or have a pair of this shiny covers and the gear that goes inside for a D60? The D60 I just bought came with no hubs or full-time gears. I need them because I have a full-time NP203.
the axel that i got for bigblue(Jeromy) has those style hubs, PM him, i am sure he'll part with them for a good deal.
Thanks. I'll PM him right away.
I have a Dana 60 with auto-hubs. They have 4x4 on the hubs. It came from a 80 1 ton.
