Ok I need Ideas... I am looking to get a rear dana 60 full floater 8 lug. I want it to be 69' to 70" wms to wms after I install a brake conversion.
Two questions.
Does anybody know does a rear disc brake conversion change the wms wms width of the axle?

And where Can I find an dana 60 rear that is 69" to 70" wms wms?

A few things:

What truck is this going into with what tire size?

Any brake change (drums to discs) won't change the WMS (wheel mounting surface) of the axle. Only hubs and/or finding the right axle will do that (and I suppose wheel spacer can change it a bit).

Unless you are using the truck solely for light towing the FF 60 rear is pretty weak.

FF 60's are available from multiple sources, they appeared in 80's Fords, as well as Dodges, such as the m880 pickup. People who run rear 60's most often choose them for the additional gearing choices because you can go all the way into the 7.xx range. Compared to a 14ff, they are comparatively weaker in stock configuration as they will usually come with 30 spline shafts compared to the 14's 35 spline, thicker shafts. However, the 60's can be built plenty strong, if you are willing and have the money. You have two options, basically - a 30 spline chromo upgrade, Dutchman or Moser are two who make them, which is bolt in and marginally stronger than the stock 30 spline axle shafts. This option will cost you about 3-400 dollars. The more involved option is to upgrade to 35 spline chromo shafts, but that will require you to bore the 60 spindle to accommodate the thicker shaft. When searching for your 60, avoid the 1960's vintage units as many of them were a coarse 16 or 17 spline configuration and are not desirable build up candidates.
