Pretty simple, how exactly are you all mounting the ram? Im assuming the u-bolt plate but I am unsure. Pictures would be great.

Most likely yes, Im assembling the doubler as we speak and 60 shopping also. And I dont even feel like dealing with death wobble, and mine has a kinda hard time turning 40s around all bound up. I already have a good pump that just needs a little mods, and the extra fluid reservoir and cooler. So Im all ready except for the lines and ram and axle itself. Plus the 60 will have a Spartan or Detroit, so turning will probably suck.

Sweeeet! Do you already have the 2wd box for the x-over?

OT--did u see the new u pull it yard next to the Hollywood strip club??

I have it. The cylinder is pretty close to my oil pan and I am not excited about it. I keep looking for better ways to mount it.

My 10 bolt is already cross overed with the weld in plates and bolt in brace. Im selling the 10bolt with 5.13s, a posi, chromolys, all new brakes, balljoints, and the crossover for 800$ to a friend, and using that to buy the 60. Luckily he doesnt need the axle and isnt in a hurry for it so it can stay under my Burb until I get the 60 up to snuff.

So I have the 2wd box already installed, I have ORD's tierod on it, I just need the doubler plate, intermediate shaft, and a 32 spine input for my 203. My 205 has 32 spine outputs now and is a fixed yolk so its ready to rock.

And I havnt made it around the strip clubs in awhile these days Im ashamed to say. My brother goes out there to that one, I usually go to Speedway by the racetrack in Granite City. I might go there tomorrow as Im laid off again and have nothing better to do.

Can you post a pic of it? Im just trying to get an idea of how much headache I have heading my way. You have a BB correct? Im also going with the ORD crossmember to make oil pan removal easier and I want to swap in this cam I have in my bedroom and cant remove the oilpan the way it sits. Avalanche is on the way I fear.

Oh, my cylinder is mounted on the outside (toward the wheel) top of driverside spring plate. It is better than when it was mounted on the inside but still close.

This is before I moved the mount to the far side of the spring plate. The mount was low and because I have offset tierods (axle moved 1.5 ahead so the cross over and high steer rubbed) it pushed up and down on the tie rod. Now the cylinder is laying across the top of the spring plate. so it is moved over about 4".

That was my next question. I only wanted to move mine up 1in as to minimize what your going through.

80 427, where did you get that clamp on the tie rod (for the ram end)?

I had a buddy make it for me. He was going to school as a metal butcher and had time for home projects. I told him he should start making them too sell.

If he's not going to make them you should show that to Kert, the double sheer mount is way cool.

I would make a dedicated ram tower to mount it to over doing it on the ubolt plate. Ubolts like to loosen up enough as it is.

You can show who ever. It is more or less just what everyone does with a clamp and welding ears to it. My buddy has not way to mass them and in fact is selling his CUCV.

I thought about it. I may go way outboard to allow more oil pan clearance.

I need one either way so ill see what he says, thanks.
