the new 60 i got has the strap style youke, and i ahve u bolts from my other one, so im thinkin i should be able to drill out the threads right? it looks as though ther is enough flat area behind there to fit a nut on them.... good idea or bad idea????? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

i had 1410 strap style yokes, i wanted to drill them to use u-bolts. the problem is the u bolts are not as wide as the holes for the straps. i put mine in a mill & machined out the holes this worked well cause i could make the new hole were it needed to be instead of were the strap hole was. the u-bolts were larger diameter so there was only a few threads left from the original holes

Bad idea. Call Jessie at High Angle and get a new yoke from him. It come with Ubolts and costs around forty bucks.

Or go up the road to WFO Concepts in Auburn. Trevor is a cool dude to deal with.
