6 prong / tab stuff = old first few years dana 60 stuff.
and fyi 4 prong / tab make sure it has clearence for inner nut lock pin. some cheep sockets dont and have snapped the pin off on me years ago. so i gave that back to the person i barrowed it from and got my own snap-on or other brand with the clearence. try finding a pair of inner nuts with good pins on a late sat or sunday when good parts store closed or pick-n-pull yards closed. that sucks.

Pretty sure its 2 & 5/8 4 pronger, with the prongs not sticking out
not sticking out = cheep socket most the time and = broken little pin on inner nut.

Just go with OTC or a KD one. They will last you forever with the amount of use we give them. I can get you rthe # off fo my KD one tonight if you need it.
Anyone have a part number for the correct 4 prong socket? Digging into my M1028 and finding they updated the spindle nuts at some point.

watch the cheepy sockets at parts stores with no spot for the inner nut index pin . i had one years ago snap my pin off and i had to wait over the weekend to get a new pin from a junk yard run . . . fyi the pin its self is the same size on the nut over the years . i pulled 1 from a 44/10 bolt axle .
I'm finding 1987 in most of my searches, but like with everything else on these trucks, it is all interchangeable.
Early 80's for all the 60's i have played with .
