There is a truck down the road from my house that is a 1971/1972 C-30 dually and it has a DRW Dana 70 in it and it appears to be OEM ( or someone did a fine job swaping it many years ago ). My question is did GM put D70's in the C-30's in those year trucks ?
I am aware of the 3/4 tons using the Dana 60's and Eaton HO52/72's and I thought that the 2WD 1-Tons used the Eatons but seeing this truck got me thinking - I can not recall seeing a Dana 70 in a 67~72 DRW C-30 ever before.
Is this truck a fluke or was a Dana 70 optional in the C-30's as well ?
Thanks , Tom

Thanks for the response YJ ! I didn't think so either but it got me doubting myself I just had to check with some experts.
