DeWalt Angle Grinder for $19.99

at the HD by me i took five off the self. would not give it to me. said they need a model # the listing on the tractor supply website didnt have one. so anyone know it?

I need to mention that even though it was not easy, it was easily worth it. I had a $140 retail savings today! Took me 2 hours and I made 4 stops.

I would try another Home Depot, but this time just grab one. I would guess that when you dropped 5 of them on the counter you got their radar up that maybe this was a scam and they went over it with a fine-toothed comb. When I got 2 I took my buddy with me so it was just 1 for each of us, probably less suspicious.

good luck!

Do you ever have a positive post? It's a thread about a good buy on tools.

Thank you. If he spent less time on the computer going on and on how terrible his life is, maybe it would pick up.

I tried at Home Depot without success. First of all, a regular counter person can't discount it that much (from $89.99 to $19.99), so you're sure to get a manager. Then when they match it up to the TSC website, they will find the exact same product there for $79.99. The $19.99 one is the same grinder, but with some abrasive wheels included, making it a different item. So they offer it for about $72, which is beating the competition by 10%.

Of course no TSC has these in stock. Anybody get a raincheck for one?

This was my experience at the two stores I tried... I think I'll call the TSC that's local and ask if they'll offer a raincheck. If so I'll get like 3 of them.

hmmm, I guess I just got lucky. :dunno:

When I went back to the tools area I found the guy working that section and we went through the specs and he confirmed that it was the same grinder (he didn't put much effort into it tbh). When I went up to the counter and the manager came over I told her the tool guy said it was the same one and she just changed the price no questions asked, again without much effort. :waytogo:

Yeah, I was told maybe by the tool guys and no by the managers at both stores because there was no part # on TSC's site.

Also called and the dude at TSC said they're out of them at the warehouse, so no rainchecks... dammit.

yeah...I didn't get one either...oh well

actually I just did get one...I called that store that had 1 left and they sold it to me over the phone and I am going to pick it up over the weekend....or if I can get a co-worker that lives there to pick it up.

If you look online there are several stores in some areas that still have them...

You guys that went to Home Depot are very very lucky....this is a CLEARANCE item!!! :woot:

Well, I tried today and they said they needed the part number so they called TSC and they gave it to HD which turned out to be the same part number but with a B at the end instead of a W so they said "sorry not the same product". Guess I could try another HD tomorrow though.

Here is a photo of one that was purchased at TSC

I think the B is for the BONUS 5 disks with it...imagine that...extra product

I tried a Lowes today just to see and I got turned down as well. I got the cashier and the manager to agree that it was the same item and they were about to approve it when the tool guy decided to call TSC. Someone there told him it was a clearance item and that was all she wrote. :(
Oh well, at least I got 1. :)

I went to my local TSC store today. There are none of this model in Texas, hasn't been since last Labor Day. The manager at first accused me of printing off last years ad till I had him go to their site and look for himself. If he hadn't accused me of that I would have dropped it right there. But....I asked what he was going to do and he hem hawed around for a couple of minutes till I stsrted to walk out and then he offered to sell me the one other model he had in stock for the $19.95. It's a DWE4011. It's on sale for $49.95. He wouldn't throw in the five discs but I have a lot of discs.

Times are hard...they are dealin'

Wonder why TSC is clearancing those out?

Mine is on the way..co-worker is going to pick it up....I just wanted one because everything I own is HF...I never owned a real DeWalt before...

The manager of my store said those were a one time order, and should have sold out last labor Day. He implied they were a special order for TSC. Evidently some stores still had some so they clearanced them out. But they should have posted in their ad that they were limited stock and no rain checks.

no luck either..... H/D shut me down immediately with the "IN STOCK ITEM"
and "CLEARANCE ITEM".....

oh well was worth the try.....:D
