I saw this pic on another site Look how far he backed up to launch his boat
So because he doesn't know how to launch a boat it must be because he owns a Dodge?
Obviously! If he was smart he would have bought a Dodge with a Cummins between the frame rails.
ive seen a brand new ford ranger back in to get his boat off the trailer, got out to hop in the boat, the ranger rolled back and jackknifed in the water, took out the whole side of the bed.
then a chevy tow truck came and pulled it out
whatever floats your boat i guess.........................
That was awful
How is that stupid? how many boats have you launched out? How many different kindas of boats? I have launched everything from flat bottom jet boats to big arse baycrusiers and depending on the angle of the boat ramp in that water and how long the boat has sat on the trailer some times you have to get pretty far in the water with it to get it to come off the trailer.
If you look closely at the boat, you'll see there's not much of the hull in the water, even backed down that far. If the trailer is a bunk-style (probably, since it's a small boat), it needs to be pretty far in to be able to slide off the bunks easily.
I'd say thats fairly normal...
I've got a fairly large boat, and I've had my 3/4 ton truck up to the rocker panels in water to get the boat off. Some launches are just downright sucky, no real downward grade. If the water is deep enough, you can back up and stomp on the brakes, causing the boat to slide off the trailer, but sometimes you just can't do that (not deep enough, too many other boats around, etc etc)
It must be really difficult to launch that boat. There is even a guy in the water trying to pull it off the trailer!
You suck at jokes. I hope you light your house on fire. May the truck gods rust your exhaust tips.
Almost have before, told you that story.
Your the one who thinks stainless rusts. Wanker.
No kidding, someone needs to show that guy how to start the boat and put it in reverse...
maybe the trailer has foam filled tires. LOL
A friend of mine runs a tow company near a reservoir in Northern Cali, had to pull an RV out of the lake after the owner forgot to set the parking brake and it rolled down the boat ramp when the guy was launching it. I'll see if I can get some pics from him. You wouldn't believe how often he has to rescue people in that situation.
I've only ever pulled one person out before, the guy backed in, and got his truck stuck in the mud in the lake, just took a small tug to get him out
I live in an area where Californian's (no offense) come to boat almost year around you see morons like that every day @ the boat launch. What makes it better is when they forget to put in their plugs and the boat fills with water.
