I've found a set of 8-lug stock steel wheels from a dodge van in an ad.
And I'm thinking about getting them for my W250.
Does anyone know if the van wheels are the same as the ones for a pickup, regarding center hole, backspacing/offset and taper for the lugnuts?

I only know they are 16" and 8-lug.
I think it was from a 80-ish van, but I'll check with the seller.

Here's a picture from the ad:

I think they should work then. As long as you're running 16" wheels now (which I assume you are since it's a W250), they should fit and clear the brakes. The rear wheels may seem a little tight. I had some stell 16" wheels on my '91 W250 and they seemed to barely want to go over the rear hubs. A hammer solved that little problem. I think most all Dodge 3/4 tons used the same 8 on 6.5 pattern in the '80s up through at least '93.

Now I now they are from a -89 "Maxi van".
He wasn't sure if it was a 250 or 350.

My biggest concern is that it would have a bigger offset (more backspacing)...

You probably used wheels from a Chevy, they have a slightly smaller centerhole

Hmmm... You should ask the guy to measure them. If he really wants to sell them, he shouldn't mind taking the time to measure the backspacing.

I got him to measure them, and they were 6" wide with a 4.25" BS (~15mm offset).
Which I think is the same offset as truck wheels, so they should work fine.

But the deal fell through for other reasons, but I thought I should post up the numbers if someone have use for them in the future.

Oh well. Better luck next time. Those could have been Chevy wheels I had. They came on the truck when I bought it. They did need some persuasion to go on after I took them off to paint them.

Just out of curiousity, what time is it over there right now?
