Bad frame flex. I Think I need to remove a leaf in the rear. The shackle angle isn't very good either.

Yeah it flexes a lot.

Yeah I have about 30 total. Uploading as we speak

You can see the shackle angle here

woah :yikes: !!! that's a huge amount of frame flex. at least it's a pickup. if you managed to twist a blazer that much, the body would never be the same. mine twists by a few inches at maximum stuff/droop, but wow.

You've got a pretty kick ass stepside! :waytogo:

I thought my frameflex was bad, but damn!!!

after seeing the first pic I would recommend checking your frame for bends or cracks but I know the frame is bent already.

Yeah it's cracked and bent

I think I might just weld some flat plate to reinforce the cracked part.

I took a pic but I guess the camera didn't save it

After wheeling it I couldn't open the door lol.

I would be checking all the body mounts as well. A bad body mount can allow the frame to flex way more than normal.

x2. loose body mount bolts have the same effect. i pulled my grill off and tightened the front two, several months ago. made a difference.

The two rear body mounts are very loose. Is there a nut on top or do I just screw them in? I never really looked.

I wouldn't be suprised if they are all loose.

If you're looking at the head of the bolt then just screw them in. The nuts are probably captive nuts and will not spin when you tighten the bolts.

That and the lack of front bumper ... IIRC the bumper is used by design to lock the frames in palce w.r.t. each other, and without it they'll twist.

With it on It was still horrible

I've been wanting to make a bumper like this though

Maybe I should just go ahead and do it now.

sorry to bug you but what color is your truck?? its kick a$$

Metalic teal. The previous owner painted it and installed the billet grill.

I think he would cry seeing it now with the cut fenders lol

Yeah I really like it too for some reason.

Also another thing is my cab is rusted very badly. From the door sill to almost the a-pillars is rust. Not completely though.

Maybe I can also box the frame some or weld thicker plates onto the frame.

It had to of been in a wreck at some time

I also need to cut the fenders out a lot. The passenger side bent out about 2 inches at the door jammed.

Some tube doors like this would be nice also.

He also a bit of frame flex
