Would you believe.....................
Missed by thaaaaat much!
Well, damnit. I just hate death. R.I.P. Mr. Adams.
I used to watch that show religiously on Nick at Nite when I was younger!!!
Me too! I haven't seen it in at least a decade now though.
I watched that show when it was on the air
R.I.P. Don Adams
Another peice of childhood dies with him...
I watched "Get Smart" when it first came out!..I liked the beginning of the show, where he walked thru all those doors, and then into the phone booth, where he fallls thru the floor to get into "headquarters!"...I'll always remember "Sorry about that Cheif!".."Would You Beleive??"...and "Missed it By THAT Much!"...I think one of my first crushes was on Barbara Feldon too!.."Agent 99"..it was a good show..
I also loved the "Tennesee Tuxedo" cartoon he did the voice over for--I can still hear him saying "Fineus J. Whoppee, your the greatest!..
R.I.P. Don Adams...another great one gone...
I liked hearing him say "Kissinger the Kaos courier"
and what number was the agent who would always hide in random crap, like mailboxes and bowling ball return machines? That was funny.
All the famous people I knew growing up via reruns are all dying off at a fast clip the last 5 years
That's very sad news. Get Smart was a hit in New Zealand when it was run first about 35+ years ago and repeated for years on Saturday mornings alongside The Beverly Hillbillies & Hogans Heroes. Great TV!
I, too, Barbara Feldon. The Cone of Silence was a great gadget, as was the Shoe-phone.
The guy in the rubbish bins etc. was Agent 53 I think?
And there was the robot with feelings - Heimie/Heimy??
I know the agent your talking about, but I cant recall his name!--I do remember the "robotic" agent named "Heimie"..I mostly remember Don Adams ,Barbara Feldon, and the guy who played the "Chief"..I must be getting old, senility is settin in already!..
Separate names with a comma.
