I purchased an 89 k5 blazer a couple of months ago, the truck had been sitting for three years, the guy claimed the head gasket was blown, beside that, the truck was mint, interior also was mint, the paint was chipping on the hood no big deal, brought it home charged the battery and the motor fired up up in two cranks. I let the motor run about a half hour, and everything seemed fine, I drove the truck the next day, and heard some noises when reversing, it ended up being the transfer case, swaped that out and the truck drove fine. I paid 750 for the truck, I think i got a pretty good deal
