Hey guys, I have a set of Thorley Tri-Y’s with the crossover pipe, they came off a K5, already confirmed these are correct for my Suburban, but I was doing some research and it sounds like the passenger header is awful close to the passenger front spring shackle, so I was wondering if anyone has any pics for me to see just how close? My truck is stock height, I’m in the proceeds of painting the 4” lift springs for the front and I have a set of ORD HD shackles ready to go on, but the exhaust shit the bed, both manifolds cracked, the Y pipe took a hit at some point, the mufflers blown out and the pancake cat most definitely is about to collapse on itself, so i’m looking to throw the headers on with a cheap muffler just to keep going (i’m an “essential” employee, gotta keep movin lol). Also, does anyone have any idea if I could run the 4-6” lift y-pipe on a stock height truck temporarily (of course I wouldn’t be off-road like that). The last time they were on the k5 was a few years ago and I haven’t a picture for any reference lol. Also, what header bolts are you guys using? Thorley says just regular header bolts but I’ve seen mixed reviews about that on the web.

Thanks fellas, stay safe!

Can you get an idea if they drop down enough to get close to the shackle? Or are they considered a mid length header? That may give you an idea.
If they are long tube, I would say that there is a 50 percent chance that they will work, IF there aren't any marks on the right one already from the previous install. I believe that the collectors on them are 2.5" , correct? Maybe that helps.
Different trucks can require more clearance at corresponding places.
But you probably don't like the "just try it" idea here.
And I don't know anything about the crossover pipe.
