The older trucks in the 70's had different shifters than the two shown in the pics of that thread. They were all one piece shifters instead of two pieces where the bottom part is welded to the shifter rod. Some of the older one piece shifters had a hole in them for the zerk fitting. Some didn't as they used the bolt with a fitting on the end.

I know of 5 different shifters that were used on the 205's. One was the first gen. trucks, pre-'73 which had multiple bends in it.
The other 4 look like whats shown in the other thread. With the exception of one that was bent differently than the other.
 
From the picture, which is decieving because the older style is actually polished and looks new, matches the one I have.
