Driveshaft lengthening

    I need to know how much i need to lengthen my front d-shaft after doing a ORD shackle flip with 6" srpings. My rearend seems to be find buy my front when i installed it the splines stick out and only an 1" or so is in the d-shaft its self. its on my '78 truck with the np205, d44 cv front d-shaft.

    When you call Tom Woods or whoever you will buy a new shaft from or where ever you lengthen it at, they will tell you what measurements they want.

    Usually you measure from the middle of the rearend ujoint cap in the yoke to the middle of the u-joint cap in the t-case or to the flat flange area of the t-case.
