It has been brought to my attention that dropped drag links are not the best way to go, in order to correct the increased drag link offset created by lifting a vehicle. I have a 1-ton truck with a Dana 60, 4" of lift, and a 4" drop drag link. I need some ideas on what way I should go about loosing the dropped drag link, and where I can purchase the parts needed to replace it?

It has already been suggested to go with a raised steering block, and or a combination of dropped pitman arm and a steering block. I have shopped around the usual places on the Internet for a dropped pitman arm, but I could not find any for a Dana 60...only 12 bolts and Dana 44. Does anybody know of a good source for a dropped pitman arm, or raised steering block for a Dana 60?

I bought my steering block form 4 wheel parts.

I will have a steering block for sale in the next month or so /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Drop pitman arm has nothing to do with what axle you're running...it works for all of them.

Skyjacker CA50 is what you're looking for and yes I sell them. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I also have a 4" lift on my 1 ton, and I use ONLY a dropped pitman arm from Skyjacker IIRC, and it works flawlessly.

Does your steering block happen to be a Skyjacker part #SB60 with a height of 2.5"? Skyjacker also appears to have a dropped pitman arm part #CA50 with 2" of drop.

So all I need is the 2" pitman arm, and the stock drag link?

How much do you want for one of those?

avoid the off the shelf steering blocks
