Will this work on a 90 K5 4wd? SUM-688350
looks like those are for the trucks use summits mak/model search and it will narrow it down for your application
thats just for pickups.
Summit lists a Dynomax kit that includes headers for the 4wd K5s, dont buy it because it isnt meant for a 4wd, i bought it for my step sons jimmy and had to send it back. after checking Dynomax's site, they list it for 2wds only.
Hooker makes a mandrel bent kit for 4wds thats nice and fits great.
Which kit are we talking about? This one The desciption says it fits manifold back, so I should be OK wih a pair of shorty's right?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trashing my entire stock exhaust and need something that is smog legal or can be easily made legal.
i had bought the header back version of it in 2.25" for my step sons, and the 2.5" for my BBC project K5.
but that would be what i was talking about.
if you need to run cats, it will take some fanagling to get them in there.
on his the one cat as right after the crossmember on the drivers side, the other starts about where the back of the seat stops.
I was thinking about using the Dynomax one from Jeg's (289-89005). Link to Jeg's They also have a manifold version at the bottom (289-89003)
I ended up going to an exhaust shop and getting 2.5" pipe with a crossover installed for $120 (I brought my own mufflers and cats), so it didn't make sense to me to clamp a system together myself.
i had bought that Dynomax kit for my stepson for his b-day.
summit had it as an exhaust kit, mufflers, and headers for like $220.
summit listed the kit for all K5s.
Dynomax only says its for 2wd trucks, which is correct, because it wouldnt clear the tcase/crossmember, and also it would exit out the side just in front of the rear tire.
i had sent the tubing kit back and kept the headers and mufflers, and order the Hooker mandrel bent kit that was actually bent for 4wds.
