dual shocks mounting question (did extensive search)

    and after my search I get two different answers. Keep the longer shock..the one mounted forward and more vertical, or keep the shock that mounts inside the shock mount for strength. My question is where the front shock attaches to the axle it is next to the shock mount not inside of it. The rear shock (shorter one) goes inside the shock mount. I removed the rear one, but is the mount or the bolt strong enough? Should I run just the rear shock?? Can somebody please clear this up for me thanks.
