I might go look at this. Ad says 7.3 diesel needs fuel pump and ring and pinion. I know little about diesels and even less about vans, not to mention a 4x4 one. What should I look for with the engine and drivetrain and will a corporate 14 bolt be a semi easy bolt in. Please chime in if you have a opinion. I just thought it would be groovy to be pimpin in a van!:pimp:

quigley = good stuff for 4x4 vans.

7.3 run oil pressure fired injectors. so 2 oil pumps in motor. and also vary fussy on changing fuel filters can suck big gulp of air and not run for a bit.

also 14ff could be swaped in but ford ran 3.55 or 4.10 ratio in the vans if 3.55 not good to match with 14ff.

tons of the vans tho to get a whole junkyard pull axle to bolt in place of it.

and door jamb build sticker has spot for axle and its a little code like ( c8 ) or somthing of that nature . search it on internet for ford axle code and it will tell you the ratio and if traction device in axle.

I wouldn't put a 14bff in a ford, they have sterling axles, just as good, and you can get them cheap.
As for the quigley diesel 4x4 van... cool stuff, I would jump on one if I see it.
How much for that one?

I want it,unfortunately we could not come to terms. Truck was solid, one rotted spot between sliding door and wheelwell that he had a patch for. The rear had a new r&p along with new posi clutches. Car fax said the 48 thousand miles were correct but the seller and myself both figure 148. Could not here truck run as he believes it needs a fuel pump, there was a electric pump on it and he said it ran @ 3-4 months ago. Truck hasnt been registered since 2010 and the batteries wouldnt turn it over. Soo my over was basically for a non running van at 2000 he came down to 3000. I suspect he might call. Did I mention I WANT IT!!

P.S Anybody want to buy one of my crewcabs..........:whistle::whistle::thumb:

Throw some jumper cables on it and fire it up. Man you want to hear it run too. Id pay $500 for a non running unit not $2k. Bring a can of ether. Disable the glow plug controller. And get it primed, and fire it off. Then you can take it for a ride at least.

Yeah I can't believe you didn't try anything to get it running.
When I go to buy I prepare for all that stuff, or if the seller says he already tried and couldn't get it going then I really low ball, and walk away.
I still think it's worth the $2k but I wouldn't have offered it, I would let him come back with a $2k asking price and then see if I can bring him down more or just take it.
As I said I would pay $2k for it but not offer it.:D
But that is just me, that's why I have too many vehicles.:doah:
