It's probably a shot in the dark...but would like to find one for when I move up to bigger tires in the future.

Do you already have a locker or currently open? Now would be a good time to consider going to a 14FF detroit and 14FF axleshafts for the fine spline. They are a direct swap since the carrier is identical between the Eaton HO52/72 and the 14FF.

Cost is also a big factor of course...

I have a 4.10 Eaton with factory locker right now.....would rather stay with the Eaton rear if possible.

If you already have the detroit locker, you don't need another one. Just get the correct carrier and transfer the locker over. No Spin = Detroit Locker.

However I was talking about keeping the eaton rear and installing a set of axleshafts and detroit from the 14FF as an upgrade. But since you already have the locker it will be cheaper to just change the gears and carrier.

The only difference between the Eaton vs 14FF Detroit Locker is the axle spline count. 14FF axleshafts are the correct length to install in an Eaton axle if you use the 14FF Detroit (or open carrier spider gears) for the matching spline.

No need to change if you already have the No-Spin. I never saw the point in going to 14bolt shafts unless you had to run a 14bolt Detroit. Eaton shafts are bigger in diameter. I'll see what I can do on a 3rd member. How soon do ya need it.

I never saw the need to change axle shafts either.....sure the spline count is less but those things are beefy. I've got an extra set of axles and I've never heard of anyone breaking one. Now if the pinion bearing goes bad and I have to replace it....then I'll start thinking 14FF.

I'm not in a hurry....I thought I'd start looking because I know 37's will be in the near future!

In your position already having a locker I wouldn't change the axleshafts either. Now if you were talking about 44's instead of 37's... that would be a different story.
