Ok,
Bought the Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650 Off-Road Carb.
Have a 1978 Chevy K10 Full Size/350 automatic trans, no cruise.

Also bought the Edelbrock Manifold but have to hold off for now putting that on due to work space.

Installed new carb onto the GM manifold, got all of the BS here done but am fighting with the tranny kick down position and throttle position on the carb as well as the bracket and the distance, had to buy a new "Throttle/ Automatic Tranny kick down bracket" this is a Edelbrock 8031 part.

If anyone has installed this exact setup, i have some questions. If you have a picture of your rig with this setup and it works, please post a picture for me.

I am new to the throttle arena, but am trying to understand as I go the correct setup here so it works until I have a space to install a new manifold.

Post a pic and ill try and help you out.
The kick down adjust it till it shift or kick downs properly throttle have some one floor it (motor off) and adjust it so it open fully. Check this by pushing the throttle lever open till it stops make sure cable pulls it the same.
Adjust the throttle first then the kick down.
