Getting ready to put a crate motor in a '90 suburban. Thought it might be a good idea to replace the EGR and oxygen sensor at the same time. Are the ACDelco the best way to go on these?
O2 # AFS21
EGR # 214-5073

I would say yes. I used as many AC/Delco and Delphi OE sensors and ignition parts as possible when I put a new GM Goodwrench crate engine in my sqaure body.

Ok good to hear, I figured the AC Delco might be slightly better than the rest of the parts store China crap, slightly.

There are parts made in China for AC DELCO just to clarify.

Absolutely most of the AC Delco ones I have already bought I'm pretty sure came from there.

Keep the old ones as spares, and verify they are made the same. EGRs are real picky that vintage. I think delco is the best you will get, but I'm not sure how much that says anymore. FWIW I havent heard of many failures of the Chinese delco stuff, I just dont trust it as much as when I knew the premium I was paying was going to jobs in north America.

Even though it would be insane to think that OEM on some of the new gms wasnt from there either, having to meet warranty criteria.

I agree dont trust it as much as I did 25 years ago, but in most cases I know its probably better than most of what else is available. It could just be perception on my end. Always feel like I should check anymore to see if there is a better alternative. Thanks for the responses.
