I have a 75K5 with a 5.3 motor swap. I just replaced the fuse box and wiring harness inside the truck with one I found off eBAY NOS.

Looking for two things:

1. I want to replace the engine bay connector that plugs into the back of that fuse box at the firewall. It's a one-piece bulkhead connector.

2. I'd love to get a part number for the pins on both sides of that connector so I Can add more wires into my engine bay fusebox.

Would like to go OE.

Any help would be appreciated!

this is what the connector on the engine side looks like that I want to find a replacement for (with pins)

I thought we figured out what they were on here, but I couldn't find any post referencing them.

I assume these are what you are looking for http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-74-GM-...NOS-/271668575181?hash=item3f40b57bcd&vxp=mtr Probably not a ridiculous price, but I bet you can get them cheaper from someplace like Mouser.com Will take some searching, but may be worth it.

Bulkhead connector, I can't imagine where you will get one of those. You can check Mouser as well (try narrowing down by Delphi at least) you might get lucky. I've seen some stuff on there from Delphi that I was surprised was still available.

Excellent, this gets me half way there. Now I really, really need to find where I can buy one of those connectors! I'm looking everywhere, no luck yet

I wonder if it seperates into 3. I will check tonight. If so, it would be 20, 10, and 7.

Unfortunately it's one piece.

I think this is probably the right one for the engine side: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...=sGAEpiMZZMs7eK6h2EBtKnSHa2PTj7tE7FhfGgayh9s=

Sorting by Delphi Series 56 brings up all the terminals.

When I'm guessing as to what will work on Mouser, I buy one of what I HOPE is the right one (and any others I'm curious about), and enough other components to make shipping worth it. Once I figured out the flexibility allowed by using new connectors (vs splices/soldering) I tend to go that route anymore.

I took it apart tonight, it actually separates into 3 pieces. headlights, fuel tank, and engine bay. Together it's 37 pins, but separate it's 20, 10, and 7.

LMC sells a new headlight harness that includes the 7 piece connector. But it's $200 and only gets you part of what you need. I guess that means the rest probably exists somewhere!!

Can't just use an old one? They are the same from 1975-1987(1988).
