Euzoa's (re)build and rant

Pour some fuel down the throttle body and see if it fires/runs for a few secs, if it fires/runs for a few secs it is fuel pump.

Hot wired the fuel pump using the wire in the pig tail from the relay, I can hear the pump run... But no fuel from injectors. I dont have my haynes manual handy...Does that wire bypass the relay? Because if it was not cranking, the injectors wouldnt squirt fuel right?

She has spark, she will fire with a little gas down her throat.

Should injectors have a constant 12 volts to them?

She definitly is leaking gas...went and got a 2 gallons then the battery gave out before I could figure out if its a leak AND something else, or just a leak

Well, I got her running and now she is getting the 700r4 rebuilt AGAIN. She only sat since January. I really like this thing, I'm just getting tired of spending the same money over and over

Upgraded supposedly extra clutches and what not. but then again it was a bowtie overdrives level 2 before, and now having driven this rebuild I'm not sure it was right to begin with

Exactly. If I had been home it would have gotten a 4speed put in, but since I'm in PA at School I had to have it redone.

When I'm out of school with access to a shop I think I will tear her all the way down to the frame and do it the way I want it. but until then, I'm going to fix what has been cobbed as I can afford it, and just try to enjoy her

Lets see, I have a broken o2 sensor connector, harness side that I managed to cobble together to stop my lean code, I installed a 28,000 gvw cooler, and Finally install my half-cab cover again. Other than that she is running good, just need to do brakes

We'll I'm kinda back, works still sucking up most of my time (and money, dang you snap-on), plus my other projects (the jimmy, an 88 blazer, an 82 3/4 ton (old ranch truck that the brown pile i bought donated its engine to) a 90 Cherokee, and lastly my trusty daily, the 98 golf) but seeing as winter is coming, and my car wont make the driveway in the winter, its time to do a summit Mojave heater install, and since i will have the dash all ripped apart anyway I'm going to replace the heater controller with abs plastic, and rocker switcher, removed the radio (factory one right side speakers are shorted, sounds like its blown, but its actually the radio) and replace it with a pocket, build an under dash box (plywood for now, to be fiber-glassed when money allows) to house the heater, a single din radio, cb, and floor vents. I will try to get pics of progress as I go, I even renewed my membership.

Oh, and I need to do ball joints to

Just read the build glad to see you’re back! I’ll also be watching your heater install, I’ve got one in the box that I’ve been too lazy to get installed

thanks, I've learned a lot since I first started(i joined as a teenager, obsessed with k5s, now I'm a diesel mechanic for Cummins) I just haven't had the drive to work on my own stuff like i should be. that said, I have changed the jimmy over to a pickup tail gate and am running a half cab toneuo sp?) cover. mostly lately it has been used for hauling wood and for my girlfriend to use around the ranch when it is to cold for the wheeler.
