TRC-453's ( same basic chassis as the cobra 146 and others ) both with the PLL changed , and the switches modded . The prettier one was in my Blazer until Fred said it sounded Chitty . Found a loose part from wheeling . Fixed and may go back into something .

My classic Kenwood HT's . Both with tone boards added , but changing the dips sucks . Just loaded them with repeaters that took 162.2 and left em be . Not pretty , but were my first . Need to fix the BNC connector on the dased one :D

My first 2 meter rig , Icom IC-22S . Programmed with a couple phx/tucson/flagstaff frequencies all with 162.2 again . I hit Mt Lemon from Mesa in my aprtment with a hombrew attic antenna with low power setting :pimp:

Midland 79-290. You can barely see the foot warmer in the console. Antenna is a Wilson 5000 mounted through the roof in the front/center with grounding straps.

The CB is now a Cobra 29
The 2M is a 60W Yaesu FT-1500

The HF rig is a Yaesu FT-1000MP Field (100W 160-10M)
The Amp is a Dentron MLA-2500 (1.5kW CW)
The Packet system is an Azden PCS-4000 2M rig (25W)
Some TNC's, Tuners and antenna switches

Here's what I use in my Semi truck, Northstar 4000. It's been the best radio I've ever owned.

Wow! Nice shack setup - and a fellow contestor to boot! But who can use a bug? Ack:doah:

Catch you on RTTY or SSB some time.

Used the Bug for 25 years. Just switched over to the keyer. Took forever to figure out how to use that thing :haha:

Heres a link to a picture of the DXCluster I also run.
http://users.adelphia.net/~c.constantine/images/Station/P3280033.JPG

User ports on 2M & 440 and a DX Voice Alert on 2M.
The old Kenwood 2M are 50W, the Kenwood 440's are 60W.
The fans keep the Henry 200W 2M Amp cool.
System is internet backboned to N7OD's ARCluster.

Heres a link to my DX Webpage, theres more pics of the station there

I like the looks of the CB mounted in the dash, plus it would definitely slow someone down from trying to steal it. Is there some place to mount the factory CB bracket under there or did you have to make a custom mount? Did you route the heater vent back down to the foor or just cap it off? And I don't see an external speaker in your pictures, can you actually hear that thing in the dash? More details please! :D

I had to delete a pic from the second post of mine . I traded the SuperStar for 2 sets of axles . It was nice , but I wouldn't of used it anyways , I got a new 10 meter rig with a VFO mode . Now to upgrade my license .

Shame they changed the rules Friday before I got proficient at morse code .Don't need code now to get on HF .

Yea, im disappointed in that ruling too but times have changed.
Im 99% CW operator. I had to pass the 20WPM test to get my Extra Class license. Its a great mode

I have been fighting to make practice time . Would be nice if I could make a miracle and take it in January before its official .

If not I think we all will live through it . I at least get 28.3 to 28.5 phone right off the bat when it takes effect .

I had to build a custom mount that attaches to the top of the ash tray. Someone did break into my truck a few months ago outside my house and "tried" to steal my radio. They did not get very far though. Just tweaked the bracket a little bit.

I wired two 4Ohm 3.5" car speakers in series for the required 8Ohm load as an external speaker. They are both mounted in the factory center dash speaker location. It gets plenty loud enough to hear even at highway speeds.

Excellent ingenuity! I'll have to pull my glove box and see if I have enough room to fit my 95T back there... Thanks for the info! :D
