That was awesome!!
Three cheers for McDonnell Douglas!
yeppers, the F-15 is definitely one of the great fighter-bombers of all time... and that guy can fly 'em!
I know nothing about being a pilot. That was awesome
$$$ spent on training was a good investment too.
McDonnell Douglas came up with the F-15 design back in '74, now it is built by Boeing. I used to build the wire harnesses for the F-15s about 8 years ago. Anyways, the F-15 is pretty old, even though we still build 'em and they still pack a punch. That video is also another reason why we build our aircraft with two engines, in case one goes out, the other will still get you home. You guys should check out the new F-22 fighter jets, I think they seriously kick a$$. I'll try to post some links if I'm lucky to find some.
It's funny you should mention that. The new aircraft coming oot, F-22 and F-35, are single engine aircraft .
I was working for McDonnell Douglas when Boeing bought them oot.
I've never heard of the F-35's yet, but the F-22's definitely are dual engines.. I started at Boeing right after the merger and I'm still there, I build Apache combat helicopters now. I can't wait to work on the next generation Apaches in a couple of years from now. Work is super slow with a 6 month labor gap so I just can't wait to work head-on and kick a$$ on overtime again.
You are correct on the F-22 !!
The F-35 is a single engine V-STOL fighter
Thanks CDA for the pics and links!
Day late and a dollar short... nm
That airframe is going to be a multi functional set up.
I remember when McDonnell Douglas lost the bid on their F-23 concept aircraft. That's when I was still working for them and they still existed!
We built some tooling for the JSF stuff at the last place I worked...
Anyways, cool vid!!!
Wow, what a pilot, what an aircraft!!
Here's some pics of Topgun Aggressor Squadron F-18's after a midair collision:
But they dont build aircraft with two wings in case one falls off...
That F22 is the Raptor right?
Parker Abex, builds parts for them here in Kzoo.
You are correct .
No they sure don't I had a feeling someone was gonna throw this at me
